Daniel Mata is a multilingual artist that is looking to bring back the classical-crossover genre into contemporary music and audiences around the world. A native from Caracas, Venezuela, Daniel started singing from a very young age, where he initially drew inspiration from beautiful Disney ballads. Upon moving to the US at the age of 8 with his parents and his triplet siblings, Daniel continued his academics and vocal education through private voice lessons. In addition to voice, he also took piano and violin lessons up through high school. Daniel was one of thousands chosen for the prestigious full-ride, merit scholarship to one of the most notable music and science universities in the US: Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology, Pre-Med and Music. In addition to music, Daniel also pursued a second career in medicine and graduated from Augusta University’s Physician Associate Program in 2021. He was then chosen to complete an esteemed fellowship in Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Since the age of 13, Daniel has performed for a variety of foundation and charity events, recitals, religious services, weddings, funerals, private parties, galas, and featured in local TV stations. At the age of 15, Daniel won the Georgia singing competition, “Stars of Tomorrow,” giving him the chance to record his first demo, have a professional photoshoot, and meet nationally acclaimed theater organist, Ken Double. Together, Daniel and Ken have headlined several concerts together around venues in Pittsburg, Atlanta, Orlando, and Miami. Some of Daniel’s most notable performances include singing at the Atlanta Fox Theater for their annual Christmas Show, soloing at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, singing at the Mercedes Benz Stadium for a fundraiser event, singing with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, singing at the Humans Rights Center in Atlanta, and being featured in a Univision Christmas TV Special, among other appearances. He has also been invited to perform the National Anthem for several major sports teams including the ATL Falcons, ATL Hawks, ATL United, the World Cup of Tennis, and the Houston DASH/Dynamo teams. He has been interviewed multiple times on Atlanta’s 11 Alive to advertise his music and has appeared on Univision and CNN en Español, being dubbed as the “Josh Groban” and “Andrea Bocelli” of Latin American Music. Daniel has an original EP titled “Dreaming Wide Awake,” which includes two original songs, recorded in English, Spanish, and Italian. His most recent album, titled “Let Me Sing and I’m Happy” features classic love ballads, from “O Sole Mio” to “Besame Mucho.” Daniel currently works at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX in the department of GI Medical Oncology, treated patients with metastatic pancreatic and colorectal cancer. Concurrently, he devotes his time outside the clinic pursuing his music career, booking gigs and performances around Houston and the US. Daniel aspires to move and inspire multiple generations and people from all over the world with beauty of classical crossover music and the power and passion of his voice.
